14 Jan Victorinox Classic SD Swiss Army Pocket Tool Review
I got opened to outdoor travelling about 2 years ago when my cousin invited me to his trip to the woods. It was not really far from our place hence, I wasn’t agitated on the idea of leaving the kids and my wife at home for about 3 nights. I tried my best to remember everything back when I had school camping trips – the tent, sleeping bag, handy rucksack, water bottle and everything in between. I got all these essentials packed, and my cousin and I along with some friends went off.
You can create your own ending for this story but I would want to share how it really ends – awful. Yes that’s the word. Many times I needed to cut something, or to slice or to tweeze but I don’t have the proper tool to use it. I ended up borrowing from friends and from my cousin, which I know can get annoying when you’re at the climax of enjoying the great outdoors. Oh well, lesson learned – go purchase a handy tool like the Victorinox Classic SD Swiss Army Pocket Tool.
Exterior design and material
So, after that trip I rushed to the sports department of the nearest mall to get myself a handy, multi-purpose tool. Our friends are all out planning for the next trip hence, I wanted to ensure that this time, and I get everything perfect. I purchased the Victorinox Classic SD Swiss Army Pocket Tool mainly because of the materials used. It is carefully constructed with nylon handle. That alone, is already a relief in case you’re worried of having to reassemble the whole thing. Its components and tools, on the other hand, are made from 100% stainless steel – talk about quality.
With such materials used, there’s no doubt that this product will last a lifetime; add to that the fact that it is delicately constructed. All Victorinox Swiss pocket tools undergo diversified quality checks to ensure all their products are of the best.
Tools and everything in between
I’m not only saved from the shame of dealing with desolated outdoor gear, but I’m also equipped with all essential tools all wrapped in one gear. The Victorinox Classic SD Swiss Army Pocket Tool is designed with 7 basic tools. It comes with a nail file with screwdriver tip, small scissors, small blade, toothpick, tweezers, and a key ring. We all know that outdoor travelling calls for small scissors, blade and screwdriver as they are the basic tools; but believe it or not, the nail file will surely come in handy. All other tools included in this tiny but multi-purpose item will also get their share of helping you out.
Slim and sleek, the Victorinox Classic SD Swiss Army Pocket Tool can fit technically anywhere – even to the smallest pocket you have. Sizing at only 58x19x9mm, you’ll perfectly understand why I always call it small. Lastly, I would want to mention that all Victorinox products, especially their knives and pocket tools are under a lifetime warranty.
Where it can be improved
Honestly speaking, I still haven’t found any improvement points for this product. I have used my Victorinox Classic SD Swiss Army Pocket Tool many times already and as always it kept on delivering well, assisting me on any aspects I would need its utensils. There are just some instances when it easily slips off my hand because it’s too small. Nonetheless, this is a great tool that’s worth a slot alongside your keys.
A big yes for a small utensil! I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again – the Victorinox Classic SD Swiss Army Pocket Tool is worth the space alongside your keys. This multi-purpose traveling gear completes my trips. Not only that, I also use it on typical instances at home. Pricing at around £15, this is a great bargain you should never miss.
