After months of planning, and being postponed 3 times, the Arizona trip with my brother was finally set. The schedule for work and everything in between were all fixed and all we have to do is ensure we have everything we’ll need. Apparently, we don’t have a sturdy tent. All we have is a one-person tent and nothing else. I decided to buy a new one, 2-person this some so we can share. Since I’ve been hiking and trekking for the past 4 years I do know how to be meticulous. The Vango Banshee 200 Tent caught my attention. It looks really rough, just like how we want and appears to be quite strong and durable as well. I opted for it and the tent made our trip the best one in the world!
Easy to use, easy on everything
I would first highlight the fact that this rough-looking tent, which you may consider complex, is actually very easy to set up. Since it has the all in one pitching the design, the inner tent and the flysheet sticks together effortlessly. It’s just the unique, hexagon pattern that’s causing the complexity in looks. The poles are color coded hence, you don’t have to worry if you’re not an expert on tents; after all, the poles are pre-angled so there’s less effort on your part. Again, something my brother and I really loved!
Comfort at its best
From carrying this Vango Banshee 200 Tent to using it, all you’ll feel is comfort, literally! It is made of 70D Protex Polyester with a combination of breathable type of polyester for the inside. Apparently, the outside material is designed to sustain strong wind and rain; of course you can expect it to be strong, sturdy, but not that comfortable. Good thing this tent also comes with a breathable material for the inside. The groundsheet is another factor I want to highlight. It is made of waterproof polyester up to 6,000mm. Aside from that, the flysheet door also has its own rain stop technology. Sure for sure, not a single drop of rain will enter this tent!
I love the fact that the Vango Banshee 200 Tent has its own compression stuffsac – now keeping it away is less hassle. It also comes with walking pole attachment eyelets pre-installed on the doors. The pegging points are designed with multi-reflective points that pick up the torch light. The flysheet is also designed with mesh covering for more comfort. Lastly, the door can easily be transformed into a vent. This tent is inspired with the Duke of Edinburgh and is proven effective to be fire retardant. This item is also designed with TBS II or Tension Band System of Vango.
Where it can be improved
I don’t think this item has an improvement point – at least not for us. But I strongly suggest you try it out immediately. The size variation can be your concern. My son, who has a towering height of 6.10, can fit in the tent but there’s no room for another person to make this an official 2-person tent. But with me and my brother who aren’t that tall, there’s no problem with that.
From £90-£160, you get to experience better outdoor sleeping from the Vango Banshee 200 Tent. You may have your own qualifications but for the 5 times my brother and I have used this item, we consider it a great bargain! Indeed, this Vango product is something you should really invest on.
