I don’t believe that the number of twitter followers equates to a better Twitter and as such the list below is very subjective and not in any particular order.

Interesting list to be honest – but I do feel somewhat orientated towards the US traveller.
We have found that there are plenty of really witty UK and Australian bloggers since spending a bit of time travel blogging ourselves.

great idea finding top travel tweets. There are alot of bogus ones out there selling stuff so a new list is pretty cool. We have a twitter account for Abandon the Cube, but recently we’ve just been posting about USA travel (aka: why is wal-mart such a scary place, and why is the TV show LOST going downhill so fast?)AKA- not about travel so much as a constant scratching of the head at being back in the homeland.
OurLittleJaunt – If you have any examples please post them here I would love to have a look.

Thanks for this list. Maybe a list of the top 100 would be helpful too, especially one based on retweetrank (shows valuable content by frequency of Twitterers’ retweets).
