This is one of the largest lodges with over 100 rooms, but with spacious grounds, it doesn’t feel busy and you can enjoy the tranquility that must be experienced on a safari adventure. Leaving the most luxurious until last, Ongava Lodge has 14 stone and thatched chalets situated on the top of a hill with magnificent views of the surrounding Ongava Private Game Reserve. The lodge has its own watering hole which is visible from the main lounge and dining areas and a lovely swimming pool. The stylish chalets have incredible views and indoor and outdoor shower facilities. Keen photographers will want to spend time inside the lodge’s hide to wait out for the perfect wildlife photo op, or there are nature walks and bird watching inside the Ongava Reserve. Located just outside Etosha, you can reach the Anderson Gate in around 15 minutes driving.
